Microsoft launches new collaboration and productivity services across applications and the web and artificial intelligence capabilities (AI) within Microsoft 365.
The service was launched to answer the needs and changes in the current work culture that require the presence of new solutions that provide a smarter and customer-oriented experience.
Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella, said Microsoft is committed to providing devices and platforms for developers that cover every layer of modern technology.
"It aims to build amazing experiences that create new opportunities," Nadella said in an official statement received by Business on Thursday (05/09/2019).
In addition, Microsoft presents open source technology and new developer tools in Azure and Windows.
Microsoft's cloud computing platform that includes infrastructure, data, AI and mixed-reality, productivity and
collaboration, as well as business applications and games function to unite global developers with technological capabilities to create new breakthroughs and experiences for organizations and individuals.
Here are some new things Microsoft has launched:
1. Microsoft Graph
Originating from Microsoft 365, Microsoft Graph is one of the most comprehensive organizational activity charts. Microsoft Graph safely maps relationships
between workers, information and activities in the organizational context to show connection points and
insight to improve the way people work and work together.
"We created new opportunities for developers to build their work on Microsoft Graph,
with the availability of Microsoft Graph data connect, "Nadella explained.
Microsoft Graph data connect is a service that helps organizations integrate productivity data from Microsoft Graph with business data safely and scales using Azure Data Factory.
2. Updates in Azure: from the cloud to the edge
Azure also presents updates in Azure services and developer technologies that deliver enhanced AI, mixed-reality, IoT, and blockchain capabilities directly in the hands of the developer.
Meanwhile, Microsoft presents innovative Azure services for developers to build the next generation of applications. New innovations in Azure Machine Learning will simplify the process of building, training and running machine learning models.
3. Expanding opportunities through Intelligent Edge
Microsoft introduced several new products and solutions to be able to continue to meet the needs of cloud computing and emerging edge, including:
• Azure SQL Database Edge to support a spectrum of edge computing needs.
• IoT Plug and Play, a new open modeling language for seamlessly connecting IoT devices to the cloud, allowing developers to navigate one of the biggest challenges faced by using large-scale IoT solutions.
• For mixed-reality development, Microsoft introduced the HoloLens 2 developer edition or HoloLens 2 Development Edition, which provides access to the mixed-reality developer community to solutions to help them build and run mixed-reality experiences on various devices.
• Deepen investments in partners and developers
Since first introducing a co-sell collaboration program, Microsoft has brought the capability of a global sales team to a community of Microsoft partners worldwide, and nearly 3,000 Azure-based ISVs have managed to generate revenues of up to US $ 5 million in the past 12 months.
The program is designed to help Microsoft customer companies realize digital transformation by introducing relevant solutions from Azure-based ISV partners with the introduction of seat-based SaaS capabilities that can be transacted for AppSource and Azure Marketplace.
